This week we perfomed a test on a pair of lace panties that was made out of 80% nylon, 14% elastane and 6% metallic yarn. We perfomed both bursting test and perspiration test on our material.
The second test we performed was the perspiration test in the lab. We cut out two samples of the fabric and sown them together with a multifibre fabric sample. We soaked each sample in a liquid that represents human sweat, alkaline and acidic. We left the samples in the liquid for 30 minutes and then placed them in the owen for 4 hours. The temperature in the oven was 37°C, just like the human body.
After 4 hours, we dried the fabric completely and compared the samples with the color chart. The change was not visible, therefore we rated it 3/3.
